Much like with PS1 support, you must install the PCSX2 emulator to the right place, and it must be the right version (0.9.8 r4600). Luckily, if you just follow the default install location when prompted during the install, it should work out for you.
Make sure when configuring your plugins that you choose cdvdGigaherz r4510 0.8.0
This plugin, near as I can tell, will let you boot off of actual PS2 game discs, not just ISO files. This functionality is important, because we want to be able to drop in a PS2 disc and have it launch.
Much like with the PS1 emulator, I'm not going to walk you through how to install it, where to get it, or how to dump BIOS. All that is on you. Again, like the PS1 emulator, this is a somewhat advanced mod to the OpenExtreme. But it is so worth it, especially if your system is beefy enough and you have the settings configured correctly to run the games at full speed, or close to it.
Know that, as always, your optical drive must be D: (working on that). Also, you must install the emulator to its default folder. The script looks to launch the following file with the following flags:
C:\Program Files\PCSX2 0.9.8\pcsx2-r4600.exe --nogui --fullscreen --fullboot d:
Feel free to turn off the -fullboot flag to get to the game faster. Feel free to kill the --fullscreen flag, though I don't know why you would. Configure your controller (an Xbox 360 Controller for Windows works well here too, again because of the similar button layout).
Configure it to your liking, then enjoy.
Note: Support for PS2 games is far from complete. While ePSXe for PS1 games may be close to perfect, having glitches with only a few games here and there and running at full speed for most every game on decent hardware, PCSX2 has a long way to go towards getting full speed, playable games. But, if you can figure out the configuration to get full speed and if you have beefy enough hardware, then go for it. If not, enjoy it experimentally, as a proof of concept.
Any questions, hit me up. But do not ask me how do i installz ths? Im a newb lol. I've given you plenty of information on how to do it. There's plenty on the web of how to get the files you need and configure them. I've told you what the script looks for so you can make sure your file structure is a match. That's the real key.
